Google Gadgets
Gadgets powered by Google are miniature objects that offer cool and dynamic content that can be placed on any page on the web.
Gadgets might come in handy when you're at work (to-do list, currency converter, calendar), at school (calculator, Wikipedia, translation tool), or just passing time (news, blogs, games).

Suggested Educational Uses from PBworks Certified Educators
- The gadgets equation is handy for students to create the text needed for equations to show up properly on wiki pages. -Melissa Pearson
- I added the Dictionary.com lookup tool so that students never have to ask me what a word means, or how to spell a word again. In addition, when students are working on projects involving research, they sometimes need a clearer understanding of a word in order to paraphrase the source (they must always put things into their own words). I am going to try to figure out the Maps gadget as well, since most of our collaborative projects (using PBwiki) involve finding and marking places in Google Earth. - Diane Main
- I added a digital clock so the kids can keep track of their own time!!
- I thought the countdown timer would be neat for big projects coming up - Vivian Cisneros
